Michael and Nicole | Raleigh Birth Photographer

Meet Michael and Nicole! If you know me in real life or have just followed my page for the past couple of years, you know my passion for birth photography. I fell in love with capturing new life, new love and all the emotions that a birth holds. I returned from maternity leave back in January and I was undecided on if I would offer births for 2015. Bennett was still so young and I just wasn’t sure how it would all work out. Michael has been my husbands good friend since they were teenagers and of course, when Nicole entered into the picture, she felt like she always belonged. I was so excited when we went out to Cowfish about 4 months after we announced to them we were expecting Bennett and they announced THEY were expecting (baby Meredith!). It was awesome to watch Nicole rock her pregnancy and when the opportunity arose for me to photograph the birth back in February, I thought it would be the perfect time to test the birth photography waters now that I had Bennett.

While I LOVED attending this birth, I knew that I needed to wait until Bennett was 1 before accepting any new birth clients. Now that Bennett sleeps through the night, we aren’t nursing and I can be away for 24 hours if I had to, I feel much more confident in taking on births. Actually, I have a couple lined up for the rest of the year. My goal is to only take on 1 birth every 2-3 months (depending on how busy I am). SO! As of right now, I’m taking on MARCH and beyond birth clients!

Being a full time stay at home mom AND running Miss Jee’s Photography has been awesome, hard, challenging, full of blessings and more than I could have ever dreamed of. My family comes first though and while I missed photographing births this past year, I’m excited to jump back in this winter and into 2016.

Enjoy this beautiful birth and if you’re interested in having YOUR birth photographed, shoot me an email through the contact page!

Nicole seriously ROCKED her birth. I might have held back some tears as I witnessed how beautiful and powerful she was as they brought Meredith into this world. Michael, was an amazing husband as he was with her every step of the way. Thank you M&N for including me on the celebration of Meredith’s Birth Day!
