Matt & Shanika welcome baby Yani | Raleigh, North Carolina | Fresh 48

I met the beautiful Shanika about 7 years ago (wow, has it been 7 already?) under the weirdest of circumstances. I use to teach gymnastics on a bus that traveled form daycare to daycare in the Triangle of North Carolina. She taught at one of the daycares we would visit at once a week. A friendship was born over the once a week meetings that lasted no more than 30 minutes (because my job would leave). We kept in touch as my job changed and she followed me on my journey of launching Miss Jee’s. She ended up hiring me to photograph her beautiful wedding a couple of years ago. What an honor! Then the wonderful news came that they were expecting a little bundle of joy! BABY YANI! I was thrilled to be invited on their journey into parenthood. This is their Fresh 48 session. Enjoy!

Oh want to know a fun fact??? Baby Yani was excepted to arrive on Christmas eve!!!! She decided to wait a few days though so she could have her own special day!
